SANYO DENKI EUROPE SA. is pleased to introduce the world’s smallest high performance AC Servo Motor «SANMOTION R» Serie. This new serie has been designed to meet the market demand for more sophisticated manufacturing devices and the recent needs for global environement conservation. With a compact size, a light weight, a high torque, a high speed and a low cogging torque, this serie can contribute to a wide range of applications.

Specifications :

• 7 models to be combined with 230VAC R Serie amplifiers
• Rated power range : 30W, 50W, 100W, 200W, 400W and 750W (at 3000 rpm)
• 3 flange sizes : 40mm, 60mm and 80mm
• Rated torque range : 0.098 to 2.39Nm (at 3000 rpm)
• Maximum speed : 6000 rpm
• Encoder type : Standard 17-bit (131072 PPR) absolute or incremental, Max. 20-bit (1048576 PPR)
• Protection degree : IP 67
• Option : 24VDC brake

Main features :

1) The world’s smallest size :
With the use of powerful simulation tools, the magnetic circuit and the heat transfer within the motor have been optimized resulting in a reduction of 29 to 38% of the length and at least 20% of the weight of each model in comparison with previous models.

2) High Torque and High Speed :
The maximum instantaneous stall torque is 15 to 26% greater than for previous models, while the maximum instantaneous stall torque/rated torque rate is 3.45 to 3.78 times greater. The maximum rotation speed has been increased to 6000 rpm.

3) Low Cogging Torque :
Thanks to the optimization of the stator core and better precision of the manufacturing process, we achived a low cogging torque of less than 1% at rated torque.

4) Reduction in CO2 emissions with LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) :
Using the internet «Eco Assist» from Hitachi, Ltd., the «SANMOTION R» series shows up to a 44% reduction in CO2 emissions when comparing to previous models, indicating how this new product contributes to global environement conservation.
